Crafting Creativity by Kristen Thompson
Early nurturing of Kristen's kaleidoscopic works of colour and pattern ensure another generation of artistic delights for our community to enjoy.
"I paint because I enjoy the outlet. There's such a sense of satisfaction finishing a painting for my wall, though it is never really done until it is sealed."
Start Anew today. A new interest, a new artwork, a new perspective, a new something. Something that makes you feel alive, feel real, feel authentic.
It's about the doing because the magic happens in the making.
And that's what we want you to do. Make something. Because making something makes us feel better in ourselves.
We want you to disconnect, create what you love and share your story. Drawing, painting, creative writing, sewing, gardening, cooking, photography, dance, theatre, ceramics, craft, woodwork, music... What do you find refuge in? Let us know and share it in Anew's Centre Stage and Wordsmith pages.
If you need some inspiration, Anew's artist-led and self-managed workshops feature in every edition and are guaranteed to motivate.
You'll find Anew in print at lots of public spaces across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Sunshine Coast. Or, you can have a copy conveniently delivered straight to your inbox anywhere, anytime. The cost to download Anew also helps to ensure the magazine is available in print for our vulnerable readers who don't have online access.
We freely promote a non-profit or social enterprise in every issue that uses creative therapies in their services for our community members.
Anew magazine is owned and published by Creative Communities Development Inc., a Not-For-Profit organisation.
